Lexus’ entry-level SUV comes in two versions: the UX 200, which is FWD only, or the UX 250h hybrid, which has AWD. (The latter appears atop the hybrid rankings further down.) CarExpert’s Take on the Lexus UX250h Luxury. Sharp design, great interior build quality, excellent refinement, a pretty punchy and frugal hybrid, decent dynamics… the Lexus UX250h has some positive attributes. A Lexus UX sounds like a good choice. It's a very comfortable and efficient hybrid SUV. Lexus is probably the most reliable car brand in the UK – routinely performing well in our annual Satisfaction Index. If you need more space, also look at the bigger Lexus NX. Alternatively, the Toyota RAV4 is a slightly more affordable choice. The car feels heavier than it is, in a good way, and things stay pretty calm inside the UX. Quiet. Again, Lexus did an admirable job taking a compact car, and making it very quiet inside. No doubt a ton of sound absorbing material gave its life for the UX. The result is a peaceful place to be. Acceleration. The UX 250h has plenty of power. The RAV4 Hybrid is actually quite quick (the Prime version takes it into the Sporty Crossover segment fast), it doesn't feel like a hybrid at all. Note that if you want a new RAV4 hybrid most dealers have waiting lists of up to a year and that cursed "market adjustment" premium.
